Happy Holidays From The Wilsons

Hope you are all having a Happy Holiday season…however you do or don’t celebrate it 🙂

We are trying to recreate our traditions and ‘bend’ our reality to match the Christmas we know back in the States.

Here are some images below of how it looks so far…with Santa on his way tonight.

The countdown started with 20+ days to go and the Christmas specials on the laptop were rotated in every night without exception thanks to iTunes and YouTube. You can see our new stockings (everyone got their own one) and our store bought tree.

This tree had a steady week of homemade decorations added to it. This was day one.

Wendi’s personalization never stopped.

Letters to Santa can be mailed from everywhere.

But preferably they are requesting toys that have already been ‘located’ in the town you are in.

Santa hits all malls in the world simultaneously which is convenient. Again, make sure to ask for toys already confirmed in the region.

Hot chocolate and candy canes can be enjoyed in 80 degree weather. That is either 180 celsius or -45 celsius, still working on the exact formula.

Just taking a wild guess that Santa’s tastes run the same internationally we went out on a limb to make him some sugar cookies. The boys tasted them periodically to insure a quality product.

Which brings us to today.  Hours from now Santa will be breaking and entering and taking credit for other people’s efforts.

Typical Santa.

Hope you all have a great next 36 hours…or 48 hours depending on where you are in the world. And ponder this…does Santa’s sleigh driving change depending on what side of the road they drive on in that country? South Africa is the left side. Santa probably has it worked out by now.

Merry Christmas to the Wilson family! Glad to see the joy of Christmas reaching across the globe. And it certainly appears that you are having “the most wonderful time this year!” Wishing you much health and happiness in 2013. Enjoying living vicariously through your travels…the furthest place I’ve been lately is the grocery store-ha! Blessings, The Repak Family

Merry Christmas Repaks! We went to the grocery store today and concluded that it isn’t much fun with kids no matter which country you are in.

Merry Christmas, Wilson’s!! One of the things I’ve most admired about you is the depths you’ll go to getting into the holiday spirit. You’ve used those ‘skills’ brilliantly and while your kids will give Santa the credit for the gifts (hilarious thought by the way!), they’ll definitely appreciate what you’ve done for them as do the rest of us looking on.

Wishing you a happy holiday season!!

    Hi Wendi and Jeff!
You two are such an adventurous pair. Your boys are adorable and growing up so quickly! Enjoy yourselves overseas! Ashley and Jack are currently living in London. If you head that way, perhaps you can look them up. We have enjoyed having Kyle and Lindsay around before they head south to find a home of their own. Please keep the emails and photos coming our way. You take such creative and beautiful photos! I so enjoy viewing them! Miss you all!
    Love, Cousin Diane

    • Jeff Wilson says:

Great to hear from you Diane. The boys are growing up fast, we are trying to keep Tate from turning 7 in March. He keeps telling everyone he is turning 7 in Dubai, but actually he will be in Portugal at that time 🙂 Thanks for the compliments on the photos. We try.
